Hi, I'm Janel. Welcome to my little hole in the web. I don't consider myself to be much of a public person, but I've flattered myself into thinking somethings I have are worth sharing, so here they are. If you have any comments or questions, please feel free to contact me, I'm happy to respond.
As for me, I was born in 1979. I enjoy dancing and domestic tasks like cooking and knitting. I enjoy both monkies and robots. I am addicted to caffiene. I am proud to ride my bike or the bus to school every day. I really don't like whining. I really do like learning things. I like it even better when I feel like I can make a positive impact on the world. I grew up in western Pennsylvania and Ohio. I graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a double major in Technical Writing and Chemistry. After graduation, I spent one school year teaching preschool and primary school English in Luoyang, China. I then spent 9 months in Mountain View, California applying to medical school. I now attend the MD/PhD program at the University of Wisconsin in Madison to the quantification of health. The general plan for the next chunk of my life is to finish up my PhD, then go back to 2 years of clinical rotations to finish out my MD degree. I know you're jealous.
