So far
I think there is some sort of performance art going on in the hospital. I swear that every analog clock in the hallways is not working and is stuck at some random time. Very disconcerting when you don't see windows all day and actually have no idea what time it is. Some days, I come and leave in the dark. Some days, the hours from 11 to 5 evaporate and I have no idea where they went.
There is a phlebotomist in the VA who wears short spandex shorts and a long white coat over them. Not really what I expect as hospital wear and surprises me every time I see her in the hallway. But maybe it makes her job easier by increasing those old guys' blood pressure.
I found an hour and made myself go buy some black pants. How do I not own black slacks for work? Owning them now makes me have about 50% more options for outfits. It turns out I am now down a size! (still a tad tight, but the size I had been is too baggy) I guess all this too busy to
eat and running up and down stairs lifestyle has something to say for it.
Unfortunately, I like it. I wish I didn't. Wouldn't it be nice to like something less intensive? Gah.
I am slowly but surely relearning how to take multiple choice tests. It is a skill. At the beginning of the practice book, I was getting about 40% and now I'm getting about 60%. Let me assure you I have not learned 20% of all medicine in the last 5 weeks, so I must have just learned how to take tests again. Sad, really. All those people who are not good test takers and make it this far must actually know all the material.
I am probably coming off as a gunner to my classmates. I find I talk in class all the time. This is just because I used to be a teacher and silence sucks. I'm also willing to take the faceplant since I'll probably learn from my mistakes.
And then she went to bed.
